Privacy notice
Draft for the private prototype. Last updated October 18, 2026.
What you send us
To write a lesson, ScriptureStudio sends your Bible passage, age group, denomination, any sermon notes (pasted text, text read from your PDF, or the text of the web page you link), and anything you write about your group to an AI model, Anthropic's Claude, running in Amazon Web Services (Amazon Bedrock).
PDFs are read inside your browser. Only the extracted text is sent, never the file itself.
What we keep
- Sermon notes, links, and group dynamics are not stored. They are used for that one request and then discarded.
- The finished lesson is held on our server only until your browser picks it up, usually within a minute. It is deleted as soon as it is delivered, and automatically removed later if it is never picked up.
- We log basic usage details for each lesson: the age group, the denomination, whether group dynamics or sermon notes were included, how long it took, and when. The logs never include your passage, notes, or group details. They are kept for 14 days.
- Amazon Bedrock doesn't use your content to train AI models and doesn't share it with the model provider.
Lessons saved on your device
Lessons you generate are saved in this browser so you can find them later. We save the passage, the age group, and the lesson itself, but not your sermon notes or group dynamics. Saved lessons stay on your device. You can delete them from “Saved lessons” at any time, or by clearing your browser's site data.
Group dynamics
What you write about your group may be sensitive. Describe circumstances rather than people, and avoid full names. The generated lesson may reflect what you wrote, so think about who you share it with.
